About LA/LB Chapter

Captain David Boatner presides over the LA/LB CAMM chapter. The LA/LB Chapter was chartered on December 6, 1979.

Recent Accomplishments
Captains Larry Welsh, Richard Connelly, Richard Bara, Pual Nielsen, and Bent Christensen were very instrumental in having the Maritime Memorial put up in San Pedro. After that, the Wall of Honor, with the names of all of the ships that were sunk during WWII and the names of those who were lost and imprisoned in POW camps. Since then, Paul Nielsen and Bent Christensen fought hard and won against the promoters of the Bridged to Breakwater Committee to remove the memorial and the Maritime Museum.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, except August and December, at 11:30 in the Reef Restaurant in Long Beach, usually in the Luau Room. Early Arrivals at 11:30, call to order at 12:00 noon. Cost of lunch is $25.00.
