Sub-standard Vessels

Support

The Council of American Master Mariners fully supports the U. S. Coast Guard and all other Government Agencies in their efforts to detect and hold accountable all violators.

It is the CAMM position on contamination of U.S. waters, treatment of prosecution witnesses on said contamination and sub standard ships that could bring disease into the U.S.

CAMM is totally opposed to the dumping of oil contaminated water, sludge, sewage, chemicals and/or any other contaminants into U.S, harbors, rivers, bays or coastal waters by any ship, regardless of Flag or Registration.

Ships that are infested with cockroaches, have insufficient fresh water for crew use and do not meet basic safety and Sanitary conditions should not be allowed to operate in U.S. Waters.
